Theresa May reveals plans to make Labour ‘unelectable’ in 2022

Conservative and DUP MPs are becoming increasingly confident that Theresa May could revive a major review of parliamentary seats which would damage Labours chances of being elected in 2022.

The upheaval would see Jeremy Corbyn’s seat axed and the overall number of MPs slashed from 650 to 600.

According to research by Conservative peer Robert Hayward, the changes may affect 200 Labour Party seats. He said Labour could lose 30 seats completely.

The initial attempt to put the boundary review into full swing did not go to plan as Conservative MPs worried that their seats would be lost and the DUP feared they would lose 30% of their seats in Northern Ireland.

The boundary revision has since been redrawn, which can be seen here, and the final publication will be submitted in October.

The DUP will be allowed to keep all 10 of their seats under the new plans.

A minister told the Evening Standard: “It is certainly not dead now, I think the DUP will be on board. However, there are a good number of Conservatives who are worried about what the boundaries would mean for their own careers.”

“The new boundaries were designed to end an inbuilt bias towards Labour, whose inner-city heartlands tend to be smaller seats, giving Labour more MP”, the Standard reported.

Decreasing the number of seats would certainly lead to a lower cost of running the government.

Some view this as a plot by Mrs May to make Labour ‘unelectable’.

Labour MP blasts schoolgirls flag for being RACIST and THIS is why

0

Labour MP, Eleanor Smith blasted the flag design made by a 12-year-old school girl as being racist.

It was designed by Stourbridge schoolgirl Gracie Sheppard after she won a competition in 2013.

The MP called for the flag to be scrapped because it uses ‘chains’ in the imagery.

The red and black colours were chosen in reference to US diplomat Elihu Burritt, who described the area’s glowing ironworks as “black by day and red by night” in the 1860s.

Speaking on Black Country Day, Ms Smith said: “I have serious concerns about the racist connotations of the flag, particularly the fact that chains are being used to represent the Black Country.

“The white on black imagery used together with the chains . . . when you break it down I’m not going to pretend it doesn’t worry me as a black person. People have to understand that it can be seen as offensive. I have absolutely nothing against the chainmakers. They were working people making money like working people do.

“But that doesn’t change the fact that I think the way the flag is done is a big mistake.”

“It is not something I feel comfortable about standing in front of,” she said, adding: “I understand the flag was designed by a young person, and I don’t for one minute think they realised its connotations. I think it is time for an intelligent conversation about the flag. I would look to have it changed.

“Why can’t we have a flag that represents all of us united as a collective rainbow of people?

“In my constituency there are 130 different languages spoken. Let’s get a flag that actually says we are proud of where we come from.”

The chains were intended to commemorate the iron workers who made chains for ships’ anchors. The white is a symbol of the region’s glass-making heritage since 1790.

I suppose everything is racist these days, we live in such a politically correct society.

Black Country Festival committee chairman Steve Edwards said: “There’s nothing racist about the flag at all.

“It’s a representation of the industry from the Black Country – chain-making was a massive part of the region.”

Do you think the flag was racist?

Man ORDERED to pay THOUSANDS in damages for eating Bacon in front of MUSLIM women

0

A man in Stockholm has been charged for eating bacon in front of Muslim women.

The women reporting him to the authorities as it made them feel uncomfortable.

The man was prosecuted partly for unruly, partly on behalf of the public. However, for the later crime, which involved a separate event from 2016, he was released because the evidence was missing.

But he is judged to be unreasonable. The 53-year-old man will pay SEK 5,000 in damages to the respective woman, as well as SEK 9,000 in daily fines.

Gateway Pundit reported:

“The report states that the Muslim women were uncomfortable with the situation and attempted to move somewhere else, that dastardly bacon-eating friend followed the women with his pork product. The man also apparently said some not-so-nice things about the women’s religion.

Rude? Sure. Criminal? Absurd.”

The man insisted that he was just eating his bacon and meant no harm to the women.

It’s a crazy world we live in that you can be fined for eating bacon in front of the wrong people.

The world has gone mad.

Diane Abbott to replace Rachel Riley on countdown

0

A spokesperson for Channel 4 has confirmed that the Labour politician Diane Abbott will replace Rachel Riley as the show’s presenting assistant from the beginning of June, provided that Labour fails to make breakthroughs in the upcoming local elections.

According to her secretary, the role has been arranged as Ms Abbott is keen to have a ‘back up plan’ in the event that Jeremy Corbyn steps down from Labour leader.

Channel 4’s head of entertainment Charles Flummox added: ‘Rachel has served the show incredibly well, but we decided that it was time to go in another direction.’

‘Ms Abbott just has an incredible head for figures, and initial auditions have been very positive.’

‘OK we had to replace the pen eleven times in the first hour, and we had to remind her what it means when you rotate the plus sign by 45 degrees, but other than that her performance was solid.’

‘She did think that ‘6’ was a consonant as well, but we just put that one down to nerves.’

Although Channel 4 bosses are reportedly excited about the news, there have been some concerns about Ms Abbott’s previous support for rival BBC gameshow Call My Bluff after photos from the 1980’s emerged of Abbott enjoying Pie and Mash with Sandi Toksvig.

The news should bring a huge ratings boost to the flagging quiz show, with viewers turning off in droves after Joey Essex’s appearance in Dictionary Corner.

Ofcom confirmed that more than 140 complaints were received after he took the letters ‘ADHRTYIUO’ and suggested ‘KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN.’

BREAKING: Theresa May orders submarines within striking distance of Syria

0

It has been reported that the Prime Minister Theresa May has ordered British submarines to position themselves within ‘striking distance’ of Syria.

The news comes after days of speculation about the United Kingdom going into an arrangement with the United States of America and France to carry out air strikes.

This all follows confirmation that Donald Trump has blamed the Syrian government for a recent chemical attack on their own people.

According to a report in The Telegraph:

President Donald Trump has warned Syria and its ally Russia that missiles “will be coming” as Theresa May made preparations for Britain to join US airstrikes against the Assad regime.

The US President used his favoured medium of Twitter to announce his intentions, saying: “Get ready Russia” for missiles that would be “nice and new and ‘smart!’”

The Daily Telegraph has learnt that Mrs May has ordered British submarines to move within missile range of Syria in readiness for strikes against the Assad regime that could begin as early as Thursday night.

The Prime Minister has recalled ministers from their Easter break to attend an emergency Cabinet meeting on Thursday afternoon.

This is a developing story.

BREAKING: Jeremy Corbyn has just made this huge demand about Syria strike

0

The leader of the opposition Jeremy Corbyn has just demanded a full vote in Parliament before the government authorises military action in Syria.

Speculation has been growing over the last few days about the United Kingdom entering into an arrangement with the United States of America and France to take retaliatory action after Al-Assad’s government was accused of carrying out a chemical attack against their own citizens.

The ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair has already come out and said that parliamentary permission shouldn’t be requested ahead of a strike, but then he would say that!

According to a report on Sky News:

Mr Corbyn joined calls for the Prime Minister to have to win the approval of Parliament before ordering any UK military action in Syria.

He said: “Parliament should always be given a say on military action.

“That’s a case that I’ve made going back many, many years in Parliament. Obviously the situation is very serious, obviously there has to be, now, a demand for a political process to end the war in Syria.”

Theresa May has already made her position on the matter very clear, and after she confirmed that Al-Assad’s government is almost certainly to blame for the attach, she added:

“We will be working with our closest allies on how we can ensure that those who are responsible are held to account and how we can prevent and deter the humanitarian catastrophe that comes from the use of chemical weapons in the future.

“The continued use of chemical weapons cannot go unchallenged.”

Interestingly enough, earlier today a poll on Westmonster stated that a whopping 80% of all people questioned stated that they were AGAINST military intervention in Syria.

Perhaps there are indeed millions of people in Britain who feel that the lessons of the past still haven’t been taken on board!

A MUSEUM OF BREXIT has been announced, and Leave voters are delighted

0

It has been announced that a ‘Museum of Brexit’ is currently being planned that will allow visitors to take a journey through the United Kingdom’s entire time as a member of the European Union and its predecessor.

The aim of the project is to make sure that people don’t just remember the six months of the Brexit campaign, but also the entire story of both Euroscepticism and the Remain movement.

It is thought that the museum itself will be located somewhere in the North-East area of England – where places such as Lincoln became Brexit heartlands during the 2016 referendum campaign.

According to a report on Chronicle Live:

Plans for a ‘Brexit museum’ have been launched and organisers say a North East city could eventually house it.

Sunderland was famously the first place in Britain to declare its support for Leave on the night of the EU referendum in June 2016.

And its place in history could further be cemented if the people behind the museum decided to locate it there.

Backers of the project, formally known as ‘the Museum of Sovereignty’, have also identified Lincoln as a possible home because of its association with Euroscepticism but nothing has been decided yet.

It is the idea of Gawain Towler, a former UKIP spokesman; Lee Rotherham, a Vote Leave campaigner; and Alex Deane, a Grassroots Out campaign executive.

Mr Rotherham, said: “Sunderland could be one of the potential sites as it is strongly associated with the Leave vote.

“It’s also got good transport links and is relatively central.”

He added: “There will be a whole range of criteria to be met and there are a number of obvious candidates and Sunderland certainly is one of them.”

The plan for the museum has been launched with a website https://www.museumofbrexit.uk/ containing details of places where people can donate items, anything from drafts of major speeches to campaign memorabilia and leaflets and photographs.

‘Museum of Sovereignty’ is a great name in our opinion as it sums up exactly why so many people voted Leave in the first place.

We also agree that it is important for Brexit to go down in history as far more than just six months of frenzied campaigning – people need to know about everything from our entry in the 1970’s right up to David Cameron announcing that a referendum would take place.

Watch furious resident STAMPING on flowers left as tribute to stabbed burglar

0

Hundreds of thousands of people have watched a video clip of a furious resident in Hither Green STAMPING on a floral tribute that was left to the burglar who was stabbed to death while trying to rob the house of Richard Osborn-Brooks.

There is currently an ongoing stand off between members of the burglar’s traveller family and concerned residents in the area – with police overseeing a vicious cycle of tributes being laid and locals taking them down.

Police (some on horseback) have confirmed that they are only there to ‘keep the peace’ as no criminal offences are actually being committed.

According to ITV News:

A row over the memorial to burglar Henry Vincent has continued to deepen as tributes were torn down for a second time.

Relatives of the 37-year-old restored a desecrated shrine near the scene of his final raid, only for it to be wrecked within minutes.

A fence opposite the home of Richard Osborn-Brooks, 78, has become an unlikely flashpoint of tensions between the grieving family and his neighbours since last week’s incident.

Balloons, cards and flowers were removed by supporters of the pensioner, with whom Vincent was involved in a struggle when he broke into the south-east London address on April 4.

On Tuesday afternoon, his loved ones returned to reattach the mementos opposite the property on South Park Crescent, Hither Green.

Elvina Lee, who said she was Vincent’s first cousin, called whoever pulled the tributes down “scum” and labelled Mr Osborn-Brooks a “lowlife”.

This is the best place for these flowers to be. I don’t know what’s wrong with these people (who dismantled them)… I think they’re scum.

– Elvina Lee, Vincent’s first cousin

But the whole memorial was down again within 20 minutes, removed by a man who said he was “taking these **** flowers down” calling it an “insult” to Mr Osborn-Brooks.

The man, who wore a beanie hat and did not give his name, added: “These need burning.”

The dispute came as a coroner returned the body of the burglar back to his family during an inquest opening on Tuesday.

Since writing this blog, there have been a number of further angry confrontations, with flowers being torn down and put back on multiple occasions.

A lot of people seem to be missing the point here. He was a violent criminal with a number of offences behind him. How on Earth can this be something that is worth ‘tributes.’

These flowers are nothing more than intimidation and an act of provocation to both Mr Osborn-Brooks, his family and other local residents.

If the police had any sense they would put a stop to it altogether, because surely it is only a matter of time before these ‘angry scenes’ escalate into something more serious.

Sometimes it isn’t about ‘no criminal offences being committed’ – it is about being able to recognise when a highly-charged but lawful situation has the potential to suddenly explode.

If tributes were left all over London to violent attackers who lose their lives in the course of carrying out their attacks, there wouldn’t be much room for anything else!

Tony Blair DESTROYED on Facebook for getting involved in Syria crisis

0

The ex-Prime Minister (or should we say, the most hated ex-Prime Minister in the history of the United Kingdom) Tony Blair has been blasted on social media after he decided to stick his nose in the current crisis that is developing in Syria.

You would have thought that someone with his disastrous track record in Iraq (Weapons of Mass Destruction?) would know when to keep his mouth shut.

However, while speaking to ITV News, he decided to back airstrikes against Assad’s regime, and whether or not you agree with him isn’t the issue – the problem is that he is simply irrelevant and his inflammatory remarks are not required.

He may even be trying to sow the seeds of discontent and appeal to the Blairites under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership – a double-whammy of Blair interference in one go!

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair told ITV News that the international community has to treat a chemical attack as a “red line”.

He said: “Frankly, if you don’t take action then you give carte blanche to the Assad regime and their backers, the Russians and the Iranians.

“Since 2013, we’ve had probably twelve incidents of chemical weapons (in Syria) – so if the world doesn’t take a stand then it sends a very clear signal,” he added.

Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn said: “I think the intervention ought to be to support the United Nations in undertaking an investigation into the chemical weapons attack. That’s what the UN has called for.

“But, also, there has to be a political solution in Syria. That does mean the US and Russia, instead of engaging in megaphone diplomacy across the floor of the Security Council, saying they will support the reconvening of the Geneva talks and all the countries in the region getting round the table together.”

Here are the best of the comments blasting Blair’s so-called ‘Middle East expertise.’

People in this country worry about the far-right! However, many would argue that Blair is more of a ‘centrist’ figure.

Think about it. He is desperate for Theresa May to proceed without Parliament’s position to try and get some justification for his own ridiculous and destructive acts in the past.

We have been saying this for a long time, and yet he is still free to appear in the media and spout his destructive views.

Unfortunately Blair is no fool – he is just someone who managed to fool an incredibly number of people when he was in power and he is keen to pull off the same stunt again.

There are genuinely people within the Labour Party who think that Blair will return to defeat Corbyn like some sort of white knight. The media is more than aware of this, hence the disproportionate amount of airtime that he now enjoys.

Donald Tusk just admitted that he is FURIOUS about Brexit

0

The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has admitted that he is FURIOUS about Brexit during a visit to Dublin.

Speaking during a university presentation in Dublin, Tusk also said that it was one of the most disappointing events in the 21st Century.

We have two main issues with this. First of all, many British people only voted for Brexit in the first place because they were ‘furious’ with the European Union.

Furious about years of mindless bureaucracy for the sake of bureaucracy, furious about years of unaudited accounts, furious about years of taxpayers’ cash being used to prop up the Brussels gravy train.

More importantly, Brexit is very much not ‘sad’ for millions in the United Kingdom. It is a demonstration of democracy and a prime example of ‘the little people’ rising up against the establishment.

In other words, Tusk really doesn’t truly understand Brexit from a British perspective.

He said:

“I don’t like Brexit.

“Actually, I believe Brexit is one of the saddest moments in twenty first-century European history.

“In fact, sometimes I am even furious about it.”

“Today it is not enough to call for unity and to protest against multiple speeds.

“It is much more important that we all respect our common rules such as human rights and civil liberties, freedom of speech and freedom of assembly, checks and balances, and the rule of law.

“This is the true foundation of our unity.”

But he warned a return to “gloom” and “disunion” was not impossible.

Mr Tusk concluded: “We have as many reasons for concern, as a generation that could still unfortunately make it to the gloomy and for sure spectacular show of another European disunion.

“You may think I am over-sensitive to this threat.

“But our two countries don’t need reminding about how much effort, suffering and time is needed to build peace and unity without coercion, in the conditions of freedom.

“And how little time and effort is needed to undermine and demolish this structure.

“Only a united Europe can be a sovereign Europe in relation to the rest of the world.”
