AN INSULT! Sturgeon and SNP vote to STOP FUNDING the Royal Family after Queen’s 60 years of loyal service

The SNP has voted to stop funding the Royal Family after the power to allocate funds from Crown Estate profits was transferred to Westminster to Holyrood.

This latest part of the devolution process gave the Scottish Parliament the power to make this sort of decision, and naturally Sturgeon has grabbed the opportunity with both hands to promote her left wing agenda.

Under the existing system, 15% of Crown Estate profits are pumped back into the Royal Household – this currently amounts to around £14m per year.

However, Sturgeon has decided to effectively insult the Royal Family and promote the idea of withholding this amount of money from this point forward.

It has to be remembered that Her Majesty has given Scotland more than SIXTY YEARS of service – hardly the sort of behaviour that deserves this treatment!

According to a report in The Express:

Senior Tory MP Andrew Rosindell said: “This is an outrageous vote that underlined that the SNP wants to turn Scotland into the Venezuela of Europe. It is a grave insult to the Queen and fails to appreciate what she has done for Scotland and Britain in more than six decades of service.

“It also fails to understand the value of the monarchy and Royal Family as a whole, which attracts far more investment from abroad than they cost.”

He added: “Maybe Nicola Sturgeon has become so arrogant that she now fancies herself as Queen of Scots.”

Perhaps this latest show of arrogance is just her way of hitting back after her plans for another independence referendum went down the toilet.

She must think that stopping this royal funding must be some sort of ‘first step’ towards her warped idea of a Scotland that has broken away from the rest of the United Kingdom.
