BREAKING: Bomb and gun attack at mosque leaving ‘at least 75 injured’

Many are feared dead after a bomb blew up a Mosque in Eygpt today.

The bomb and gun attack took place in Sinai province, Egypt.

According to the Express:

“Suspected militants set off a bomb and opened fire at the mosque, targeting supporters of the security forces attending prayers there, two eyewitnesses and a security source said.

No casualty figures were immediately available from the attack but eyewitnesses reported ambulances ferrying wounded from the scene to nearby hospitals.”

Officials have said there are ‘dozens of casualties’.

The exact number is not yet known.

There are reports on Twitter that the blast was by a suicide bomber, not a bomb placed in a discrete location in the Mosque.

75 people are injured according to ‘Euronews Italiano’.

More follows.

This is not the first mosque attack to make headline news. The Finsbury Mosque attack earlier this year was a national story, however, some public figures took to blaming politicians against the EU for causing such attack.

J.K. Rowling has tweeted that Nigel Farage may be responsible for the radicalisation of the Finsbury Park Mosque Attacker

J.K. Rowling tweeted that Nigel Farage could be the reason the Mosque attacker was radicalised.

She said: “Let’s talk about how the #FinsburyPark terrorist was radicalised.” with 2 images attached. One was a tweet sent by Farage and another oh him standing in front of a poster.

Twitter users were angered by Rowlings remarks, saying: “Stick to writing books rather than stirring things up on twitter. Not helpful”

Rowling also blasted Katie Hopkins for her comments after the London and Manchester attacks.

The billionaire writer is not one to shy away from controversy.

Nigel Farage campaigned for 25 years to get Britain out of the European Union.
