The Pro-Brexit Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has been pictured handing a Daily Express petition into 10 Downing Street today demanding that Britain’s foreign aid expenditure is SCRAPPED.
Take a look below at JRM dropping it off – the petition itself has already gathered a huge amount of support online as people are growing disillusioned with the current situation where our own public services are in desperate financial need and yet vast sums of cash are being sent to other nations.
There have been a number of ‘questionable’ uses for this foreign aid cash in the past as well.
This is cracking telly. @faisalislam is about to talk about the meeting of the Brexit War Cabinet, and @Jacob_Rees_Mogg arrives with an Express petition to scrap the 0.7% target for foreign aid, goes on to make the case for leaving the EU's Customs Union in an ad hoc interview. pic.twitter.com/mAs92485ng

According to Westmonster:
Jacob Rees-Mogg has been spotted outside Number 10 – handing in a Daily Express petition calling for the ludicrous 0.7% foreign aid budget to be scrapped.
After once again making the case for a full, clean Brexit, the Moggster told Sky News: “It was a petition of Daily Express readers who want to ensure the foreign aid budget is properly spent and are not in favour, as I’m not in favour of the 0.7% target.”
This is yet another example of Rees-Mogg aligning himself with a cause or campaign that the everyday British man and woman supports wholeheartedly.
Based on this factor alone, surely it is time for the general public to recognise that he is leadership material.
Naturally even thinking about scrapping foreign aid is something that will lead the leftie brigade to come out and scream blue murder about ‘hatred’ or the like.
However with so many pressing needs at home, and Brexit on the horizon, perhaps it would be wise to look at ways of diverting this cash to where it is needed the most at home.
