A female nursery worker has been stabbed three times in London by a small group of women who allegedly shouted ‘Allah will get you’ during the vicious attack.
Reports have said that the victim is in her 30’s and an employee of Little Diamonds nursery in Hermon Hill, and that she was walking down Wanstead High Street at the time that the attack took place.
At the present time, although there have also been numerous reports that the attackers were heard shouting ‘Allah will get you,’ it has been confirmed that the police are not treating this as a terror-related incident.
The nursery itself was put into lockdown shortly after 9am, with all parents being informed of the situation.
Karrien Stevens is the head of the nursery, and she said that the attackers ran away from the scene of the incident when a male member of the public tried to intervene and provide assistance to the victim.
She added: ‘When she got to work we couldn’t believe it and called the police straight away. It’s terrible, I’m absolutely horrified.’
‘You don’t expect something like this to happen on your doorstep.’
The attack has come at a time of heightened tension in and around London after the UK was hit with a terror attack for the third time in 90 days on Saturday evening.
This followed the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, as well as the attack at Westminster Bridge a few months ago.
This is a developing story and more details will be available shortly.
