Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has vowed to back the United Kingdom and crush ISIS in retaliation for their barbaric terrorist attack which left 22 dead and many more injured.
Mr Putin slated the bloodthirsty group ISIS, saying: “We strongly condemn this cynical and inhuman crime.
“We expect that its masterminds won’t go unpunished.”
He hopes those hurt a “speedy recovery” and expressed his “deep condolences” over the massacre.
The sickening attack on Monday night at an Ariana Grande concert left 22 people dead – including children as young as eight – and at least 64 injured.
Many of the wounded suffered life-changing injuries, including loss of limbs and damage to major organs, and at least 20 are still in a critical condition.
The president assured that Russia is “ready to step up anti-terrorist cooperation with British partners – both on a bilateral basis and as part of broad international efforts.”
I applaud Mr Putin for his stern and strong approach towards this situation and acting like the true leader that he is.
The British government have since increased the UKs threat level from Severe to critical, warning that other attacks are expected to happen at any minute.
As a precaution the army has been deployed to the streets to bolster the police, the Changing the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace has been cancelled, and public tours of Palace of Westminster, otherwise known as the Houses of Parliament, have been cancelled.
In my opinion, the UK should jump at the opportunity to work with Russia in order to combat terrorism.
It will strengthen our friendship with them, but at the same time decrease terrorism.
