LBC caller from Liverpool blasted Sadiq Khan for attempting to speak on behalf of the whole of Britain.
Damian asked the London Mayor: “I just wanted to speak my mind, a bit of frustration.
“Well the question is, to Sadiq is, do you think you speak for the whole of Britain when you’re talking about Donald Trump, Trump shouldn’t be visiting the UK?
“Because my friend, you do not speak for the whole of Britain.
“There is millions of hard-working men and women just like me who haven’t got the time to go out and protest like you called for, all these professional protesters who don’t work.”
Host, James O’Brien summed up the question for the London Mayor: “The question is do you think that you speak for the whole of Britain when you say that you don’t think Donald Trump should be made welcomed in London?”
Mr Khan replied: “No, I don’t.”
Thousands are angered by the London mayors approach towards the US President visiting the United Kingdom.
Recently, he Mr Khan said: “It appears that President Trump got the message from the many Londoners who love and admire America and Americans but find his policies and actions the polar opposite of our city’s values of inclusion, diversity and tolerance.
“His visit next month would without doubt have been met by mass peaceful protests.
“This just reinforces what a mistake it was for Theresa May to rush and extend an invitation of a state visit in the first place.
“Let’s hope that Donald Trump also revisits the pursuit of his divisive agenda.”
What do you think of Mr khan’s comments regarding the US President?
Sadiq Khan SAVAGED by UKIP London assembly member for wading in on Trump and Brexit
David Kurten grilled Sadiq Khan over his comments on Donald Trump while London knife crime soars.
UKIP London assembly member, David Kurten, said: “Some people have concerns that your comments could be detrimental to the future relationship this country and the United States.
“As the Major of London, your responsibility is to look after the transport network and to look after police and crime and make sure we have lower crime in this city.
“Do you think your comments will be detrimental to the future relationship between us and the United States?
“You did mention you do love America and Americans. Do you realise that 60million American people voted for President Trump?
“Your comments are alienating perhaps half of the American people.”
Mr Khan: “I won’t apologise for calling out a President who retweets what the leaders of Britain First are doing thereby amplifying racist tweets and a racist organisation.”
Naturally, the Mayor has completely ignored the point that David was making.
Mr Khan needs to focus on Londons issues, that is what he was elected to do and he is not welcome to speak for everyone in Britain.
He does not represent me!
