According to the Guardian newspaper, the FBI believe Nigel Farage is a person of interest to their investigation relating to Trumps relations with Russia
Nigel Farage hit back at the left wing media outlet saying:
“We have heard this term fake news over the course of the last year or so. This is fake news.”
“This an attempt by a liberal media who simply can’t reconcile themselves with Brexit and with Trump, desperately trying to find a reason why these terrible things happened.
“I know, Donald Trump. Tick. I’ve met Julian Assange. Tick. Therefore. Somehow. I must be at the epicentre of some sort of spiders web of Russian conspiracy.
“I want to say this. I’ve never been to Russia, I’ve never done any business in Russia. I’ve never had a Russian bank account. I have no Russian political connections whatsoever. This is simply hysterical nonsense.”
“Nigel Farage is a “person of interest” in the US counter-intelligence investigation that is looking into possible collusion between the Kremlin and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the Guardian has been told.
Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the former Ukip leader had raised the interest of FBI investigators because of his relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder whom Farage visited in March.”
